Missing my family
I don't have any pictures or exciting news to share...just thought I'd check in for a moment. I'm in San Antonio for a conference and really missing my family right now. I will be home tomorrow and I can't wait!
Awwwww. I have been doing tons of scrapbooking lately. TONS! I ran across our family's trip to San Antonio. This is where we went the weekend after Jake went to HEaven. Those pictures look so sad to me. We are all trying to look "normal" and "happy" and such, but you can just so see the exhaustion in everyone's eyes; even the boys'. Sorry if that is a downer. By now, you should realize that I type whatever is on my mind at the time. Maybe I will blog about our trip to San Antonio soon. I find that even if it is "bad" news, it is somehow cathartic to write about it. (is that the word I am looking for?!) Have a good conference. Melanie
I'm a pretty simple person. I love my family and friends. I try to keep my life balanced between work and my personal life. It isn't always easy but I know I'm not the only one out there trying to figure all this out.
Big sister, funny, six, bike rides, BIG FIRST GRADER, spunky, mac-n-cheese, friends, princesses, play dates, stickers, make-up, pizza, dresses, no meat, fiesty, independent, LOVED.
Ryan James
On the move, so happy, three, little brother, footie jammies, "I don't like to sleep by myself", cars, Thomas the Train!, mello, bathtime, blankie lover, thumb sucker, remote control, cell phone, cheesy grin, sweet, ADORED.
Oscar the Dog and Gabby (aka "Buck") the Cat!
Update: Buck the cat's name has been changed to "Buck on Vacation" as she has been MIA for about a year now. We still hope she shows up again one day but it's not looking very promising. She's still in our prayers each night. :(
