Feelin Froggy

Just sittin in my froggy chair....in my froggy shirt.

Hi Frog!!

=)

Congrats to Ty and Elaine!

Jim's sister Elaine got engaged a few weeks ago and I'm just now getting around to posting the pictures....how ridiculous right???

We are SOOOO excited for Elaine and her fiance Ty. He's a great guy and has two super adorable little girls. We are so happy to have them joining the family. Jenna can't wait to spend more time with her new (soon-to-be) cousins!!

Here are a few pictures of the weekend they spent visiting. Ty and his girls live out of state...and Elaine will be moving there after they get married!! :(

First...we all met for Pizza and Jenna got to meet Ty's girls for the first time....

...she didn't quite "get" the game and had to announce what she was drawing beforehand....which made it quite easy....

The fun weekend didn't end there....we had a very "interesting" day the next day....I'll post about that later!!

CONGRATULATIONS ELAINE AND TY!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADISON!

Cozy Time

Not the best picture of me (although I never like pictures of myself) but I thought it was a cute overall picture of Jenna and I at bedtime. We have a routine of one of us (usually Daddy because I'm usually busy getting Ryan to bed) climbing into bed with Jenna to read stories and snuggle before bedtime. We say prayers, talk and then listen to her stories on CD ("If You Give a Mouse a Cookie", "If You Give a Moose a Muffin"...etc...) and then we (again...usually Daddy) end up falling asleep together for awhile. We really cherish these times with Jenna and know that all too soon she will be too "grown up" for this bedtime routine...so we better eat it up while we can!!

9 months old

Thought I'd better post these before he turns 10 months! Better late than never right??

What a cutie!

It's getting harder and harder to get these shots of him. Too much distraction with the sign and the sticker on the shirt. One minute he's pulling off the sticker...the next he's crumpling up (or eating) the sign. Sigh!

We went to the pediatrician a few weeks ago for both kids checkups. Ryan weighed in at 22 lbs and 12 oz! WHOA! If I'm being honest though...I truly thought he weighed more. He's slowing down a bit...and that's JUST FINE with me! It's getting harder and harder to carry him!

Jenna is right on track too, in the 95th percentile for her size (wow...she used to be in the 40th!) and she passed her vision test with flying colors.

BOTH kids got booster shots...etc. Ryan cried, but Jenna never does anymore. She was just thrilled to be getting stickers and a sucker afterwards. Oh the little things!

I made a decision to change their pediatrician once and for all. We have been going to Dr. "L" since Jenna was a newborn. In fact, Dr. "L" was MY pediatrician (which shows you how old he is) and we have a lot of ties to his family (he knew my grandfather, his wife volunteers with my mom, his son in law and Jim went to law school together, his daughter and Jim's sister were good friends in school...etc...etc...) and he just liked to chit chat and then rush through our appointments. This last appt. was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. BOTH kids had physical appointments with him and he spent less than 20 minutes with us total...and 1/2 of that time was spent chit chatting away. I was asking him some important questions about the H1N1 flu vaccine...etc. and he never really even gave me a straight answer. Drove me nuts and I went home and called to switch doctors. The kids will now be going to see Dr. "S" who I REALLY REALLY like. She is younger (around my age maybe?) with two young kids of her own. She is very patient and takes her time to talk and explain things related to the kids. I'm looking forward to our first official appointment with her (in the past we've only seen her when the kids were sick and Dr. "L" was unavailable).

That's it for now. Sorry for the huge lag in updates....it's been busy around here and it doesn't look like things are gonna slow down again for awhile!
